通常我們用英文描述時間的時候，都是直接說 It’s eight o’clock. 或是 It’s eight fifty. 但你知道，除了直接說出數字，外國人也常常使用一些專業但簡單的方法來描述時間嗎？今天這篇文章，教你如何正確的說出「現在是幾點」

past 的用法

如果是在整點之後的半個小時內，我們會用 past例如：10:10，我們會說 It’s ten past ten.

to 的用法

與past相反，在到整點的半個小時以內，我們用 to例如：9:55，可以說 It’s five to ten.

half 和 quarter的用法

大家知道，half 是一半， quarter是1/4的意思，也就是15分鐘對吧?如果搭配 past 和 to 的用法，我們就有新的表達時間方式了。例如：10:30，我們可以說 It’s half past ten. 10:45可以說成 It’s a quarter to eleven.

about/around 的用法

在英文裡，也可以用「差不多」來表達時間唷例如：9:55可以說 It’s about ten.

白天的十點 vs 晚上的十點

很簡單，如果是白天的十點，就說 It’s ten in the morning.晚上的話就說 It’s ten in the evening
